Sometimes the smallest things carry the most weight. Whether it's a watch from your dad or a locket from your grandma, these trinkets have a way of helping us remember good thoughts from the past. We all have them in some form or another, but we’d like to add another to your collection – one that comes in 12 ounces. Introducing: Curio, the fourth can from Fernson.

Curio is a tart ale full of intense citrus flavors that give way to a lemonade and grapefruit finish. Spritzy and refreshing, this beer is perfect on a hot summer day.

Cheers to Two Years!

Two years ago, We started our journey together to create a world-class brewing facility in our hometown of Sioux Falls, SD. This weekend our journey reached its second year of creating beer and bringing our friends and drinking buddies of the Midwest together.

Do you remember when we only had two core beers? That seems like forever ago. Today we have four core beers available year round and are adding limited release beers to tap lines almost everyday. On top of that, you guys have drank so much Lion’s Paw that we have almost tripled production capabilities to keep up with you.

In our second year we have expanded distribution to North Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa. People are now finding Fernson all over the Midwest. In addition to expanding distribution, we opened Fernson on 8th. Local music, local beers, and local pizza, from our friends at Breadico, right in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls.

This month we celebrated two years of existence with over 600 of you. Sharing a beer with 600 friends is a dream come true. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank everyone who celebrated with us. We would not be where we are today without you. Thank you.

Summer Research at Fernson

I spent my summer researching beer. This statement, while completely accurate, is often greeted with laughter and interest by my college-aged peers. I received a South Dakota BRIN¹ grant this summer that allowed me to work alongside Dr. Paul Egland—a microbiologist at Augustana University—as well as the team at Fernson Brewing Company in hopes of honing the skills I have learned as a biology major at Augustana and making meaningful contributions to a local business.
